Tim K.

bio

Tim K is a multi-talented Georgia transplant, who is good with his hands and makes friends wherever he goes. He has a strong imagination, a mind for cars, trucks, boats and machinery, and a knack for trying something new. Tim’s drawings evolve in intuitive layers of marks which compose cellular structures, as organic as mitochondria. Tim’s own name often finds its way into or around the composition, and his signature is as interesting and expressive as the other integrated forms, conjuring up concentric rings and crop circles. A tape measure always in his pocket (alongside an impressive collection of pens), Tim has a knack for measuring things, and is interested in confirming that things are the same size. He totes a shiny new Stanley Sweetheart low-angle Jack plane to elbow room, making wood shavings with his trusty plane or boring holes with old augur bits to make front doors for birdhouses. Endlessly interested in old junk, from old Ford tractors to chainsaws to drill bits, Tim buffs off the surface rust to reveal the beautiful patina underneath.
